Do These 5 Things to Stay in Shape

Katrina StarzhynskayaI get asked often about my health and fitness routine and how I manage to stay in shape despite of my demanding schedule.

First of, health and fitness have been my #1 priority since I can remember… As a former fitness and yoga instructor, I still stay engaged in fitness community a lot. Recently I was on Dr. Oz Show with Chris Powell, Celebrity Weight Loss host teaching his program.  I go not detail about my whole health and beauty routine  in my book Raw. Real. Revealed 


So, my daily/ weekly routine looks like that

unnamed-31. I rebound every morning with blasting music, it starts my day right and in high energy. I use the best rebounder possible — Bellicon. I have tried it at Tony Robbins event and got hooked.  Retail is $800. If you are not ready to invest in this one yet, there are many other great options. My second favorite is Urban Rebounder Trampoline

2. I juice!!! Just like Sir Richard Branson 🙂

Right juicer is VERY important. I use Omega Masticating.

When it comes to juicing, there are basically two types of juice machines that are available for you to choose from. You can choose from centrifugal juice machines or masticating juicers.

unnamed-4 Centrifugal juicers work at high speeds, tend to be noisy and while a centrifugal juicer may be able to juice the rind of a pineapple more efficiently, in most situations, the low speed action of a masticating juicer allows you to juice more vegetables with greater efficiency. A masticating juicer tends to be a lot more quiet, less messy and easier to clean.

A masticating juicer is especially good at juicing the very important green leafy vegetables such as wheatgrass, spinach, parsley, cilantro, kale, Swiss Chard, etc. While a centrifugal juicer can juice green leafy vegetables, the centrifugal juicer is nowhere near as efficient as a masticating juicer in this regard.

The high speed action of a centrifugal juicer produces too much heat which then can damage or possibly kill the enzymes in the juice. While I can neither confirm nor deny this statement, one thing is for sure, a masticating juicer definitely does not create the friction that a centrifugal juicer will create.

One significant benefit of a masticating juicer is that it requires less vegetables, in many situations, to create more juice. As a result, you spend less on vegetables than you would with a centrifugal juicer.

2. I practice hot yoga and work out daily. I just love moving my body every single day. A regular practice can offers all kinds of mental and physical health benefits. Some, like improved flexibility, are clearly evident. Others, including mental clarity and stress reduction, may be more subtle but are just as powerful. When put together, all the benefits contribute to an increased feeling of well-being, which helps explain why so many people find yoga so addictive. Make sure you use NON- toxic Yoga Mat!!! I use Jade, made form narwal rubber and love it!

Katrina Starzhynskaya3. I run. Everyone knows that running is a great way to get into shape, but did you know that it can benefit almost every part of your body, as well as lift your mood? Running is incredibly effective at making you healthier in a number of ways.  While it may not be everybody’s favorite form of exercise, knowing what it can do for your life just may make you look at running in an entirely new light.

4. I play tennis.

5. I hike 🙂 Yes! Love it! It is an amazing way to get your heart pumping and reconnect with nature.
